Partially filled Take Back Bag and a pile of clothes to donate

I spent last weekend decluttering! Once you’ve decluttered really deeply, it’s amazing how quickly the maintenance rounds go!

The results: a pile of books to distribute among friends and tiny libraries; a pile of dharma books to give to my sangha; a pile of clothes to donate; and 2 items to try to place on consignment with Secondi, a lovely consignment shop near Dupont Circle. I used about 1/8 of a Take Back Bag*, which I’ll pass on to family members to fill. A little extra trash and recycling. Done!

My closet only contains what I actually wear. That’s huge! On a daily basis, getting dressed is a breeze. Laundry is a cinch.

My apartment feels lighter! Nothing unwanted, unsorted, or useless lurking. 🙂 Everything has a place to “live.” I know where everything is and can find everything.

I’m so big on decluttering that I’ve nearly completed a book entitled Mindful Decluttering: Simplify your life / Live with peace and ease. My daughter-in-law Ye-Sook is designing the cover. I’m so excited! I’ll let you know when it’s available.

Please let me know if you’re interested! Your encouragement will help motivate me for the last push to get it done. 🙂

Thanks!
💛
Love,
Jo
